About the Owner: Gloria Henry-Manor, The Blending Alchemist & Heart Behind The Blends of Black Butterfly

I’m Gloria Henry-Manor—known to many as IamGlorifly—the soul behind Black Butterfly Bath & Body. What began as a simple act of love for my father has grown into a collection of handcrafted products and experiences that celebrate culture, wellness, and self-care with intention.

My craft is more than mixing — it’s an intentional process of infusing love, culture, and creativity into every jar and bottle. I don’t follow trends; I follow the rhythm of what works, what heals, and what connects us to the earth.

I create for those who want more than skincare. For those who crave an experience, who value ingredients they can pronounce, and who believe self-preservation is self-celebration. As The Blending Alchemist, my mission is simple: transform nature’s gifts into your daily glow.

 

My Inspiration

After my father came out of a diabetic coma, I became his full-time caregiver. With meds severely drying out his skin, I needed a moisturizer that wouldn’t interfere with his medications. I turned to nature for answers. 

I studied butters, oils, and herbs, blending through trial and error until I found something that worked. That single jar was the spark that led to Black Butterfly Bath & Body. What started as a personal mission quickly grew into a brand rooted in love, creativity, and care for the community.

My Heritage & Influence

My love for holistic healing also runs through my bloodline. From my mother’sPanamanian-Caribbean heritage, I inherited a deep respect for natural remedies and the healing wisdom of plants. It’s her influence that first opened my eyes to the power of earth-based care and gave me the passion to keep blending with intention.

My Strength & Support

And behind every step of this journey is my husband—my partner in both life and business. He’s the one I bounce ideas off of when new blends are taking shape, the extra pair of hands who jumps in to help with production, and the steady strength doing the heavy lifting at our popups. Black Butterfly may carry my name, but it’s built with his love and support too.

I've built and maintain my own e-commerce website, mastered AI prompting, and have launched other websites for other businesses.
